Lava (ラバ/Raba), or Genshi Kazan (原始火山) as it's properly called, is an Uncommon Fusion Element. Its color palette consists of mostly reddish orange, with some traces of orange and dull brown. Its medal depicts a stream of lava.
Lava is a slow, but powerful Element, utilizing strong attacks and wide-area burn damage. It works best at close range combat, where it can be useful for self-defense as well.
This Element can be obtained by fusing Fire and Earth (Both costing 200 D), with no additional Diamond cost. As an Uncommon Fusion, it requires any Fusion Skill.
Summary[]
For inexperienced foes who can't take the heat, Lava is an absolute nightmare. Being by far the most damaging of the Uncommon Fusion Elements and having lots of AoE potential, this Element makes short work of both hordes and bosses alike, making it a great first step into this tier of Elements. The puddles it creates don't just inflict burn damage; they can also hinder enemies' movement, making it even harder to escape if they are unfortunate enough to be hit. Its plentiful projectiles, if all gravity based, make it an eye-catching choice for casters who are on a high ground or looking to drop in on an ongoing fight, but this is also a hybrid monster which bleeds into close-range defensive territory at times as well. The only way to overcome a Lava user (Without an Elemental advantage at least) is to take advantage of its unfavorably slow speed and tendency to leave the user open with longer-range spells, pushing their chances to time their moves right.
Strengths[]

- Spells quickly cause Ice, Slime and Metal spells to melt when close enough to them.
- Spells will destroy Acid spells on contact.
Tactical[]
- Heavy damage Element.
- Lots of splash damage and unique burn damage make it useful against groups and large bosses, especially in Survival and Story Mode.
- Effective at medium and close range if used accurately.
- Both offensive and defensive.
- Most spells cannot penetrate through it.
- Average cooldowns.
- Can last for quite long.

Tactical[]
- Useless at long range.
- Above average Mana consumption.

Lore[]
When an experienced-enough caster (Thereby occasionally known as an Elemage) achieves mastery over magical skill and knowledge, and of more than one Element, they may start dabbling in Fusion, the process of combining the forces of two Elements in a way that they mix together, resulting in the creation of a new Element’s power. Because of the immense possibilities of Fusion, many of them may yet still remain unknown or little researched/classified). Genshi Kazan is one of the first few Elements to be classified as a result of Fusion, and one of the simpler ones out there. It was first discovered when Mount Hellfire rose in what is now known as the Burning Wastelands, for its choking, blazing fury left nothing but destruction in its wake. The few who were able to survive discovered that many diamonds that were mined up from the local oilfields fell into the lava and dissolved into it. So instead of searing away, they absorbed the power that was flowing inside and became the first Genshi Kazan users, who would go to pass it down onto further generations. Learning the Element now would be little different, intensely mixing their Gensei Kogasu and Gensei Tochi powers to melt the rock into molten lava.
While easy to create and able to be learned through continuous use until mixing the two forces is no longer needed, lava is still highly dangerous, and not to mention destructive. It is recommended that those who wish to master this Element stick to projectiles until they can work the magic into their spirits, protecting their bodies from the burning effects of their own molten rock and allowing them to practice more elaborate spells. Once tamed, lava flows almost as smoothly and easily as water and wind, but can still become explosive at any time, and it burns right through any sorts of flora and cold, as well as melting through man-made materials with ease. Though, this Element has a harder time with water and negative energy, which can cause even lava to cool and harden, becoming not-as-deadly rock again. Nonetheless, some see this as an alternate way to use this Element: By creating bridges over water to remove the need to swim through it, as the rock created from cooled lava is very hard to break.
Spells[]
Zone | Response |
---|---|
Spell 1 | Volcanic Bomb (ボルカニックボム/Borukanikkubomu) |
Spell Type | Projectile |
Spell Description | "Toss a large ball of accumulated lava onto an area nearby, creating a large pool of lava" |
Spell Info | The caster summons a puddle of lava underneath them which they pull lava from to form a large ball which they throw in the direction of their mouse cursor. The ball is affected by gravity and can’t travel that far, but where it lands can be determined by how close the caster’s cursor is to their character (The closer to them it would land, the higher into the air it is thrown). Upon impact, the ball bursts, dealing 300 damage while creating a 42-stud diameter pool of lava that deals 35 damage over time to those standing in it while also reducing their movement speed and jump height by 50% and tinting their screens reddish orange (Burning and screen distortion persist for 2 seconds after an enemy leaves the lava pool).
|
Spell 2 | Crippling Eruption (クリプティングエラプトイオン/Kuriputingueraputoion) |
Spell Type | Defensive |
Spell Description | "Destroy all enemies and spells around you with a burst of lava from the ground surrounding you" |
Spell Info | In a 1 second animation, the caster slams their fist into the ground as the ground begins to shake, which releases a 43-stud diameter blast of lava from the ground around them that deals 365 damage and knocks all enemies hit into the air with a 3 second trip. The blast also creates a crater around the caster of the same size, within which is a pool of lava, and launches 4-6 globs of lava up into the air to fall in random directions; These will explode into 22-stud diameter lava pools, dealing 250 damage. All lava pools created by this spell have the same effects as the one made by Volcanic Bomb; the blast also destroys certain projectiles.
|
Spell 3 | Searing Fountain (セアリングファウンテン/Searingufaunten) |
Spell Type | AoE |
Spell Description | "Create a fountain of burning magma that will leave a dangerous field by the time it vanishes" |
Spell Info | The caster creates a gravity-affected ball of magma in their hand and tosses it three quarters of a second later. Upon impact, the ball turns into a 24-stud diameter pool of magma that begins spewing globs of lava into the air until it has belched up 30 before disappearing. The globs, too, are gravity-bound and fall in random directions and distances, each splattering into a 8-stud diameter puddle of lava and dealing 65 damage on direct hit. The spell can cover a fairly wide area in small lava pools before finishing (Roughly a 55-60 stud wide area).
|
Spell 4 | Molten Rain (モルテンレイン/Morutenrein) |
Spell Type | Multi-Projectile |
Spell Description | "Toss an intense volley of lava globs that each create a small puddle of lava" |
Spell Info | The caster’s hands begin to drip with magma until, after a 1 second delay, they begin tossing 9 balls of lava (Up to 15 if they charge the spell for a maximum of 2.5 seconds), one right after the other. Each ball is, like everything else, gravity bound and is lobbed into the air before falling down upon the caster’s desired target. The balls deal 40 damage each and create 12-stud diameter puddles of lava on whatever surface they land on.
|
Spell 5 | Child of Hellfire (チャイルドオブヘルファイア/Chairudoobuherufaia) |
Spell Type | Ultimate |
Spell Description | "Raise a child volcano to rain magma meteors upon nearby opposition" |
Spell Info | The caster summons a moderately sized volcano at their current location which, after 4 seconds, begins to violently erupt with a large explosion at its peak, lobbing 20 lava meteors onto the location of the caster’s cursor one after the other while also spewing smaller lava rocks upon the area around it. The main meteors explode and deal 60 damage each while also spawning 30-stud diameter pools of lava where they land, which deal 25 damage over time, and knocking down whoever is hit with a 1 second trip (Which resets with each meteor hit to prevent escape). The smaller rocks deal 300 damage per explosion and spawn 9-stud diameter puddles of lava where they land. After all 20 lava meteors have been fired, the volcano disappears back into the ground and the caster reappears.

Ember (エンバー/Enbā) is one of Lava's Subelements. Its color palette consists of most of normal Lava's, with more reliance on dark grey. Its medal would depict multiple burning rocks.
Zone | Response |
---|---|
Spell 1 | Cinder Wave (シンダーウェーブ/Shindāu~ēbu) |
Spell Type | Projectile |
Spell Description | "Raise a wave of burning cinders that knocks enemies caught above it into the air" |
Spell Info | The caster places their hands on the ground, causing volcanic cracks to appear beneath them, then, after a second, lifts them back up, sending a slow-moving, very short range wave of burning volcanic embers forward. The wave knocks enemies into the air with a 3 second trip, dealing 140 damage and inflicting a 5 second burning effect that first inflicts 40 damage, then lowers by 2 over time, leading to a total of 450 damage. The wave also scorches and destroys foliage and ice-related destructible obstacles and most projectiles that it runs into while active.
|
Spell 2 | Scorched Ring (スコーチリング/Sukōchiringu) |
Spell Type | AoE |
Spell Description | "Covers the surrounding area in scorching embers, scorching the feet of anyone walking through it" |
Spell Info | The caster surrounds their body in tiny, red hot particles for a second before releasing a short range shockwave of heat around themselves, covering a 30-stud diameter area around them in burning embers that tint the ground reddish orange and emit orange ember particle effects. Enemies standing on this will take 45 damage over time, as well as experience a dark grey fog effect. The circle disappears after 12 seconds.
|
Spell 3 | Stifling Cyclone (スティフリングサイクロン/Sutifuringusaikuron) |
Spell Type | Defensive |
Spell Description | "Protect yourself with blazing particles, pushing enemies back in addition to blocking spells" |
Spell Info | The caster locks themself in place and creates a tight, rapidly spinning ball of glowing hot embers around them for 1.5 seconds, reducing the damage they take from most spells by 75% (Some spells will deal no damage at all). Enemies who touch the circle will be dealt 55 damage and knocked backwards with a 1 second trip. Upon expiring, the ball bursts and sends its embers everywhere around a short radius of itself, dealing 325 damage and pushing enemies back with a 1.5 second trip while also creating a 3 second searing ground that deals 24 damage over time, decreasing by 2 each time.
|
Sulfur (ソルファー/Sorufā) is Lava's other Subelement. Its color palette consists of a few shades of dark grey. Its medal would depict a puff of smoke.
Zone | Response |
---|---|
Spell 1 | Volcanic Exhaust (ボルカニックエキゾースト/Borukanikkuekizōsuto) |
Spell Type | Projectile |
Spell Description | "Expel a short-range blast of volcanic smoke that both harms enemies and pushes them back" |
Spell Info | The caster surrounds themself with volcanic smoke for a second before putting their hands together in front of them, expelling a short range burst of smoke from their hands for one whole second, which grows bigger as it travels and deals 35 damage every tenth of a second to enemies caught inside while also pulling them towards the center and pushing them away, leaving them in a 1.25 second trip afterwards. The caster can use another spell when the one they are currently casting is half-way finished.
|
Spell 2 | Choke Smoke (チョークスモーク/Chōkusumōku) |
Spell Type | Transformation |
Spell Description | "Emit choking smoke from your body that also reacts explosively to heat" |
Spell Info | The caster begins to emit smoke from their body as they move, which spreads to about 12 studs around where it is left, for 4 seconds. Enemies standing inside it will be dealt 50 damage over time and experience a heavy dark grey fog effect, 25% movement speed reduction, and the inability to use their weapons or skills until they escape it. Hotter spells, such as Fire or Plasma spells, can also make the smoke explode when they collide, dealing 250 damage per explosion (Can happen once every second and destroys any smoke caught in the explosion).
|
Spell 3 | Incineration Puffs (インシネレーションパフス/Inshinerēshonpafusu) |
Spell Type | Summon |
Spell Description | "Toss a ball of smoke that creates multiple smaller clouds that will draw themselves towards enemies for a while" |
Spell Info | The caster creates a ball of smoke in their hands which they then toss in the same manner as Volcanic Bomb, albeit only half the size and traveling much faster, leaving a trail of smoke behind itself. Upon impact, it disperses into a cloud, from which five sulfur cloud minions emerge and begin following any nearby enemies. The minions last for about 8 seconds and will deal 30 damage over time to any enemies making contact with them (Stacks with multiple minions).
