Light (ライト/Raito), or Shuyō no Kagayaku (主要の輝く) as it's properly called, is a Rare Element. Its color palette consists of a few bright shades of yellow. Its medal depicts a sun emitting sun rays.

Light is a long range-specialized Element with a mixture of decent damage and healing and some close range and defensive capability, but with a severe lack of mobility spells.

This Element can be obtained by first defeating the boss Chrono in the Phoenix Tail Coliseum at the end of Book 1, then searching for the secret puzzle in the Burning Wastelands map with the hints he gives you. Once completed, you encounter a statue of Luxamare, which she speaks and gives you 3 quests through. Once all three quests are completed, you will instantly be granted with the Element with no Diamonds needed to be paid.

Summary[]

Most players who learn this Element will be satisfied with its exceptional range, decent damage, and even good combo potential, but not with its lack of mobility and modest speed. With the capacity to blind enemies and being easy to hit with, this Element truly is a terror to those unfamiliar with it. However, due to predictable movements, aiming is required to be practiced a bit to use its spells effectively, otherwise enemies can easily avoid or counter it. To get around this, most spells allow the caster to move while casting, even when charged, and it also possesses a uniquely useful healing spell. As long as you know what you're doing, this Element can prove to be one of the most useful tools you could bring into many modes.

  • Spells scare Nightmare and Reaper spells away from them while keeping their effects at bay as long as they’re active.
  • Light and Darkness spells, upon contact with each other, will destroy each other while creating a growing orb of void that grows larger over time for 1.5 seconds before exploding, dealing 300 damage to anyone caught in the explosion.

  • Relatively short mana costs.
  • Lots of splash damage and AoE effects.
  • Can heal allies the user is fighting with during battle.

  • Spells can be absorbed by Grass and Nature spells upon contact, increasing their potential.
    • They can also be absorbed by Spirit and Void spells, destroying the former and turning the latter yellower in color.
  • Spells will reflect off of Crystal and Metal spells and turn purple/grey, becoming able to hurt their casters and no longer able to hurt the Crystal/Metal user.
  • Spells can be slowed down or frozen by Time spells.
  • Spells can be cursed by Curse spells, and Corrupted by Corruption spells.

Tactical[]

  • All spells are predictable and avoidable.
  • Decent aiming required.
  • No mobility support.
  • Can be disorienting to fight with up close.
  • Most spells can't be used in narrow of low-roofed spaces.

Lore[]

Shuyō no Kagayaku (Also known as Shuyō no Yang) is one of the two Elements of Balance, and the flipside of Shuyō no Yūutsu. As the Element of positive energy, day, warmth and safety, the energy it all culminates into with this Element takes the form of a bright light that grows brighter and more powerful the more positive energy and love is put into it, to the point where it can make plants grow and possibly burn through flesh upon contact. In Robloxian folklore, light is more than a mean of beholding what would otherwise be obscured by darkness, a streak of shining light represents hope, law and respect, that there is a solution in sight. Performing a complex ritual that plays with all these can grant you with the power to use this Element. Shuyō no Kagayaku existed for as long as the Roblox world has, and has played an especially important role in the Ancient Elemental War, including ensuring the safety of people who traversed near the Warstone’s crash site (Now known as the Shattered Lands) and preventing its impact from breaking the sunlight’s ability to reach the planet, since the dimensional barriers of Roblox are quite fragile to allow Robloxians to travel from world to world, and the Roblox world holds the balance code of all the worlds in Roblox.

Despite representing all positivity, it isn’t impossible to use Shuyō no Kagayaku for evil. Light magic generated by these individuals is called ‘Black light’ or ‘Corrupted light’, and they are majorly disliked by the Sun Spirit Luxamare, the divine saint with whom the Element was born. Its origins, like those of Luxamare and its counterpart Shuyō no Yūutsu, remain a mystery to this day. Because of that, several have tried experimenting with the Element and its light, even attempting to see if they could use it to contact Luxamare herself since it is her Element. The first user emerged from the Tomb of Rebirth after an ancient group of monks disappeared inside it, thus it is speculated that he is one of them, and that they are still alive in there. This Element mainly proves useful for illuminating areas that are otherwise too dark to see in. However, it is highly combat capable as well. Its rays of positive energy are particularly effective against nightmares, which are weak to the light and thus fear it. However, as with Yūutsu, a few Elements have come able to control it, such as Genshi Botai, Genshi Taigen and Shuyō no Mojiretsu. Users should also avoid coming into conflict with Shuyō no Yūutsu users, as collisions between the two are rather… unpleasant.

Spell Description "Create an orb of light which expels into a long range beam"
Spell Info The caster summons a bright ball of yellow light that hovers a short distance above their head and, 1.5 seconds after first appearing, fires a constant beam of light aimed by their cursor, creating visible splash damage in the form a bigger orb of light upon contact with the ground, walls and obstacles that deals 50 damage over time. The beam lasts about 3 seconds and can deal a total of 300 damage. The beam travels extremely quickly and for a long distance, making it useful for picking off faraway enemies. The orb shrinks in size as the beam fires, and once the beam vanishes, so does the orb. The caster can hold their click to charge the spell for up to 3 seconds before the beam fires, increasing the duration by 0.5 seconds for each half second held while also causing the ball to grow larger it is charged.
  • It consumes 250 Mana (+5 per half second charged) and has a 5-second cooldown.
Spell 2 Photo-Barrage (フォトバラージ/Fotobarāji)

Spell Description "Form a large array of light orbs above you, lined in shapes that fire one at a time"
Spell Info The caster summons an array of 23 small orbs of light above them, in the shape of a two layered square with a small triangle in the middle, which then fire downwards in the direction they caster points with their cursor. The outer layer of the square is composed of 12 orbs, the inner square being 8, and the triangle in the center being 3, and each layer fires one at a time in an order from the outer square, to the inner square, to the inner triangle, with the next firing 0.25 seconds after the previous. Each orb explodes on contact with any solid with streaks of light, dealing 55 damage each, though it is impossible for all orbs to hit a single target unless they are targeted in a packed area. If the caster holds their click up to when the inner triangle is fired, a barrage of 5 extra orbs forms in the triangle’s place and fires right after.
  • It consumes 250 Mana (+50 if fully charged) and has a 5-second cooldown.
Spell 3 Blinding Heavens (ブラインディングヘブンズ/Buraindinguhebunzu)

Spell Description "Summon blinding light that shines upon wherever you aim. Enemies will want to stay out of it"
Spell Info The caster sends a beam of light into the sky and creates a diagonal beam of transparent yellow light from high above them that shines down upon where they clicked, creating a 35-stud diameter circular area of bright light for 4 seconds. Any enemies who are in this light will take 35 damage over time and will suffer light pale yellow blind effects (Blindness persists for 2 seconds after an enemy leaves the light).
  • It consumes 300 Mana and has a 10-second cooldown after casting.
Spell 4 Enlightenment Hand (エンライトメントハンド/Enraitomentohando)

Spell Description "Heal any nearby ally with a band of rejuvenating light"
Spell Info The caster’s hand becomes encased in an orb of light which they raise into the air, firing a small, long range beam of light which moves with their cursor before disappearing after 7 seconds. While it can’t damage enemies, the light can heal the caster’s teammates/party members, healing them by 8 points over time as long as it is making contact with them; Clicking an ally while the beam is active will cause the beam to stay locked onto that ally for its duration instead of following the cursor. The caster is able to attack and use other spells while this one is active, but take note that traveling too far away from any ally the beam is locked onto (Farther than 100 studs) will cause it to unlock and begin following the cursor again.
  • It consumes 350 Mana and has a 10-second cooldown after the beam disappears.
Spell 5 Yang Saint's Seal (ヤンセイントシール/Yanseintoshīru)

Spell Description "Release the full power of the Yang, delivering three strong explosive blows to your foes"
Spell Info The caster begins meditating with their hands clapped together and levitates into the air as a giant magic circle of pale yellow light appears around them, radiating intense light particles. A giant orb of light appears above them and cracks open, releasing three even larger light orbs that spin like a wheel for 2.5 seconds, moving faster over time, before launching one at a time toward the caster’s target at fairly fast speeds as they open their eyes, which briefly and brightly glow before they drop back to the ground and become mobile again. Each orb creates a huge explosion of light upon impact (About three fourths of the size of Hell’s Core’s explosion) which deals 430 damage, blinds enemies and stuns them (The latter two effects both last for 5 seconds (Does not stack)). The caster is also invincible for the entire spell and is healed a total of 840 health (60 over time).
  • It consumes 1000 Mana and has an 80-second cooldown.

Ultraviolet (ウルトラヴァイオレット/Urutoravu~aioretto) is one of Light's Subelements. Its color palette consists of a few shades of bright violet, with small bits of light lavender and indigo. Its medal would depict a ball with a spark in the middle, vaguely shaped like the letters "UV".

Spell Description "Charge ultraviolet light into a fast-firing ray of beams"
Spell Info The caster’s hands spark with bright ultraviolet light as they cup them together before expelling a continuous array of 25 narrow, yet long range and fast traveling beams of violet light (10 per second), each dealing 17 damage, though lacking splash damage as they dissipate upon contact with surfaces. The caster can charge this spell for a maximum of 2 seconds to increase the duration to 3.5 seconds (And the amount of beams fired to 35).
  • It consumes 250 Mana (+5 per half second charged) and has a 5-second cooldown.
Spell 2 Penetrating Arm (ペネトレートイングアーム/Penetorētoinguāmu)

Spell Description "Charge your arm up with strong ultraviolet rays, which are released as a strong, quick-traveling blast"
Spell Info The caster’s arm glows and shines bright, vibrant violet/indigo as they hold it out in front of their face before firing a beam of ultraviolet light that travels a long distance and creates a moderate-sized explosion upon impact, dealing 325 damage and knocking enemies a short distance into the air away with a 2 second trip and purple screen tint effect. If the caster holds their click, their screen will become darker and a pair of crosshairs will appear on the center of their screen, which zooms in, allowing them to aim as if they were using a sniper rifle; The caster can do this for an indefinite amount of time (Their mana will not regenerate while they are doing this) and can also cancel it by guarding. The beam travels very quickly and ignores shields and guarding.

Spell 3 Shining Lens (シャイニングレンズ/Shainingurenzu)

Spell Description "Surround yourself in a cage of ultraviolet light that strips enemies nearby of their vision"
Spell Info The caster summons a violet light orb in the sky above them that creates an expanding cage of ultraviolet beams from itself (Starts at a 15-stud radius around the casting spot) that lasts for 2 seconds before dissipating. Only the caster and their teammates/party members can pass through the beams safely; Enemies who touch them or are caught inside the cage, exposed to the intense UV light, will take 250 damage and be stunned and blinded for 2 seconds.
  • It consumes 275 Mana and has an 8-second cooldown.

Yang (ヤン/Yan) is Light's other Subelement. Its color palette is mostly the same as normal Light, but with greater focus on lighter shades. Its medal would depict the 'yang' side of the yin yang, with a swirl replacing the dot.

Spell Description "Temporarily inherit positive energy to double your maximum stamina and mana, increase your natural regeneration, and protect you from all blind effects"
Spell Info The caster meditates for a brief moment while surrounded by bright light shines, streaks and energy that eventually flows into them. Afterward, their body will glow with constant light streaks and particles for 15 seconds. In this state, their mana and stamina caps will be doubled and their natural regeneration will be increased by 50%; They will also be immune to all blind effects.
  • It consumes 400 Mana and has a 25-second cooldown after casting.
Spell 2 Sky Circle (スカイサークル/Sukaisākuru)

Spell Description "Call down positive energy into a blinding strike from the skies"
Spell Info Wherever the caster’s cursor is when cast, a 40-stud diameter circle of light appears. 3 quarters of a second later, a large beam of light fires from the sky and fills up the entire circle for a solid second before they both disappear, dealing 75 damage over time to enemies standing in it. Anyone who enters the circle or is caught inside it will have a yellow tint applied to their screen (Persists for 2 seconds after the circle is gone).
  • It consumes 280 Mana and has a 6-second cooldown after the beam and circle disappear.
Spell 3 Orb of Protection (プロテクションのオーブ/Purotekushon no ōbu)

Spell Description "Summon up to 5 embodiments of positive energy that you can use to protect yourself or heal allies"
Spell Info The caster summons an orb of light in their hands, which shapes into a yin yang of two shades of yellow, then levitates into the air and follows the caster wherever they go. When using the spell again, the orb moves down in front of the caster and blocks any attack coming from in front of them. Upon blocking an attack or spell, the orb explodes, dealing around 330 damage and knocks nearby enemies back with a 1 second trip. The orb would stay in its defending position for about a second before returning to its normal position above them. If they hold the spell instead of pressing/clicking once, they will summon another, able to have a total of 5 orbs. If they click once while locked onto an ally, one of the orbs they have summoned will fly towards them and heal them for 100 health, but also disappear in the process.
  • Spawning an orb consumes 350 Mana and has a 7-second cooldown. Using orbs to block or heal allies takes no Mana, but has a 2-7-second cooldown.
  • Note: The orbs may only be lost if they successfully block an incoming attack or if they heal an ally, and can be collided with by most entities.
