Sand (サンド/Sando) is an Awakened Rare Element (or Fusion Element). Its color palette consists of a sandy light orangish brown color with some stony light yellow and tealish white. Its medal depicts a lump of sand.

Sand is an all-purpose Element with many convenient side effects to get away from opponents or hide from them before launching a surprise attack on them, all at reasonable damage and speed.

Summary[]

Sand is built to hide, escape and hinder, making it perfect for players who prefer to strike when their opponent least expects it, with decent stats, and low cooldowns and Mana costs. Shining Sands can knock down players in front of you while also reducing their vision. Dune Twister normally captures one opponent, but will also attempt to attack others nearby. Hymn Of The Desert can be used to hide and escape while also dealing damage. Bottomless Valley can sink nearby foes into the ground and make fleeing a battle or preparing a combo easy. Longer ranged elements can stop Sand from wreaking havoc, especially among large groups of players, where users of this Element often have the advantage. They real key to defeating a Sand user is to keep your distance and stick to long range and/or click-area damage spells, all while staying out of vicinity of its wide ranged spells.

This Element can be obtained by fusing Earth (200 Diamonds) and Light (0 Diamonds), costing an additional 500 Diamonds to fuse. In order to unlock, the player must complete all quests given by Bastet, who can be found near the Miracle Pond in the Luminescent Desert after acquiring the Red Shard of Awakening. The fusion requires Grandmaster Fusion Skill.

Note: Damage assumes 50 Power on a player with 50 Defense.

Spell 1: Shining Sands (シャイニングサンド)
Spell Type: Projectile
Spell Description: "Send out a wave of sand that knocks opponents down, dealing medium damage and restricting targets’ vision."
Spell Info: The caster pushes a wave of sand where they aim, which travels quickly and climbs over obstacles in its path for a short distance. Players who are hit by this wave of sand take 145 damage, gain a beige coloured fog effect on their screens for 3 seconds, and are knocked down.
  • It consumes 170 Mana and has a 7-second cooldown
  • Note: Party members will not be affected by the wave in any way.
Spell 2: Dune Twister (デューンツイスター)
Spell Type: Contact
Spell Description: "Conjure a sandy tornado which swallows an opponent, damaging them over time, as well as chasing other enemies nearby."
Spell Info: The caster summons a sandy tornado underneath another player, which catches them, traps them inside, and begins chasing other nearby players for 7 seconds. Any players that get too close will get sucked in. Players who are inside the tornado will take 35 damage every second and will receive splotches of sand on their screen, blocking their view. As the tornado travels, it leaves a trail of sand behind.
  • It consumes 165 Mana and has an 11-second cooldown
  • Note: Party members cannot be sucked into the tornado.
Spell 3: Hymn Of The Desert (or Desert Hymn) (ヒムオブ・ザ・デザート)
Spell Type: Transportation
Spell Description: "Sink underground and choose three locations. You will emerge from the third place clicked, creating blasts of sand in all chosen locations."
Spell Info: The caster sinks underground in a mound of sand. Once out of sight, they can choose three locations by clicking on them. Once three are clicked, the caster will emerge in the third area clicked with a burst of sand that will deal 125 damage and blind anyone there. The other two locations clicked will erupt bigger blasts which also deal 125 damage, but knock opponents back.
  • It consumes 210 Mana and has an 8-second cooldown
  • Note: If the caster doesn't choose three locations within 5 seconds, they will reappear a mild distance in front of them with only one explosion.
Spell 4: Bottomless Valley (ボトムレス・バレー)
Spell Type: AoE
Spell Description: "Summon multiple pools of quicksand in the terrain below that will pull unwary victims under and suffocate them overtime when they step in them."
Spell Info: 6-7 portals appear above the caster and pour beams of sand onto the terrain below, creating a pool of quicksand under each portal that all last about 8 seconds. When another player steps in one of these pools. They will begin sinking into it and, once completely submerged, they will take 25 damage every half-second until the pools disappear, in which they will be left on the surface.
  • It consumes 200 Mana and has a 15-second cooldown
  • Note: Cooldown activates when the pools are spawned, so technically the cooldown is 7 seconds.
Spell 5: Anubis' Throne (アヌビススローン)
Spell Type: Ultimate
Spell Description: "Summon a great pyramid which slowly decimates those trapped inside. Outside, a sandstorm carries nearby enemies upward, throwing them around while dramatically reducing all players’ vision."
Spell Info: The caster freezes all nearby enemies in place and traps them all within a giant pyramid which spins around in the air in one spot, dealing 560 damage (40 per half second) to them all over 7 seconds. Outside the pyramid, a treacherous sandstorm swallows up the map and pushes players in a varying direction, while drawing players close enough to the pyramid towards it. Players who get too close to the pyramid are grabbed and thrown around towards the sky, taking 65 damage per second.
  • It consumes 1000 Mana and has a 120-second cooldown
